Because I am specialising in printed textiles, which is the farthest from thread and yarn compared to other pathways like stitch, knit and weave in my course, I mainly use inks and fabrics for my project. But this summer I feel like exploring something else..!

This is the first attempt I have done in my studio. Hopefully I'll keep recording and posting the my studio works during the summer.

Pow! Finally I got a work space for summer!

 There has no wifi a.k.a. my best friend, and there are lots of temptation from food market near my studio, but I am now ready to restart some research for my thesis and project!
 I am very excited!

夏休み限定の作業場を手に入れた！
大好きなwifiはないし、近くにフードマーケットの誘惑はあるしで大変！笑
学校のスタジオはもう一ヶ月前から3年生の卒展の為に使用禁止になっていて、６月は作業が出来ない鬱憤を募らせる毎日でしたが（その分お外で遊びまくりました）今月からいろいろなことを再開できるので嬉しいです。

Better Pockets

The idea of using pockets instead of bags.

  -  From the 17th century to the late 19th century, most women had at least one pair of pockets, 

  which served a similar purpose as a handbag does today. ('a history of pocket' available on V&A website.)

You wouldn't carry a bag or wallet without putting something in, would you?

But why do we often leave our pockets empty? Do you think pocket has become no longer functional, but just a decoration on your clothes? I have started my research with the idea of 'disused function' from conventional pockets, and eventually tried to re-deign pocket with FLEX(ibility) so that they have better use values.
